Thread starter dagbyte Start date Jun 29, I've been looking around and can't seem to get a straight answer for this However, it never gets pinned to the Start menu. It never shows up. If I right click on the item in the start menu and say "Pint to Start menu" that works fine. Is there a trick or secret to refresh the Start menu after adding a shortcut manually? This is very frustrating You can't just copy a shortcut in that folder, I'm assuming you mean taskbar too since the Start Menu isn't associated with Quick Launch.

Here is a script for creating quick launch icons. That script is pretty slick. I will def give it a try. The PinTo10v2 was exactly what I needed. With this, I was able to write a script to pin the shortcut to the taskbar. It's not a folder location but at least I can pin to the taskbar remotely now.
